Aceton Soprolife Caries Detection Camera

Soprolife Camera is a new imaging fluorescence device aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of dental decay (caries). It allows the dentist to differentiate healthy from infected tissue in order to excavate only the tissue which is diseased.

Soprolife is the only device in the world which offers two types of vision:

  • Daylight mode- enables the dentist to use the intraoral camera in white, allowing the patient to see exactly what the dentist sees.
  • Fluorescence mode – it greatly assists in the detection of early tooth decay and enables the dentists to provide more appropriate treatment for patients.

Digital Radiography

With Digital Radiography, X-rays are now taken at the blink of an eye (literally!).

Radiation levels are kept at a minimum and the dentist is able to view smaller areas with the use of the latest computer technology.

Cone Beam 3D Computed Tomography (CBCT)

Commonly referred to as a CAT scan, this type of radiograph renders a 3 dimensional view of the area to be examined. It is used to identify pathology and anatomical features required for more complex dental treatments such as aiding in assessing and planning for placement of dental implants.

The unit provides a high-resolution view of the mouth, the sinuses in the upper jaw, the temporomandibular joints (TMJ) and neck region. Most importantly, Cone beam technology exposes the patient to a very minimal dose of radiation.

CariFree™ detecting dental caries

Dental caries – commonly known as tooth decay – leads to the occurrence of cavities. Unfortunately, even after brushing and flossing daily, limiting sugary foods and drinks and visiting your dentist for regular check-ups, you might still be at risk of developing cavities. The reason for this is because cavities are now known to be a consequence of a bacterial infection that results from a biofilm disease.

So, in order to treat tooth decay effectively, DFY Dental has enlisted the help of the latest development in the fight against decay – the CariFree™ system.

This simple, non-invasive screening and treatment program, allows the dental technician to see microscopic details that are impossible to visualise with the naked eye or magnification glasses.

Microscopic dentistry enables a clinical precision in dental care that is exceptional in every respect.
